By air. Brussels National Airport ("Zaventem") lies between Brussels and Leuven, close to the E40 highway. It's about 15 minutes by taxi (cost: about 60 EUR). The airport has a direct train connection to Leuven (twice per hour), which takes about 15 minutes.

By public transport. Leuven can easily be reached by train. Each hour, two direct trains run between the airport and the railway station in Leuven, in both directions; the journey takes 15 minutes. There are also at least two (other) direct trains between Brussels and Leuven every hour in each direction, taking about 25 minutes. Direct connections also exist with Antwerp, Mechelen, Aarschot, Hasselt, Luik/Liège and Tongeren. From the railway station in Leuven, it's about ten minutes by taxi to reach our Department, and about 25 minutes by bus (line 2, direction Campus, or line 616, direction Melsbroek). Get off the bus at "Campus Arenberg II".

By car from Brussels, Luik (Liège/Luttich) or Aken (Aix-la-Chapelle/Aachen) via E40. Leave the E40 highway Brussels-Leuven-Luik at the exit "Leuven-E314" (A2). Leave the E314 immediately, at the exit nr. 15, "Leuven", and turn right at the third traffic lights. You are now in the Celestijnenlaan, and the Department is some 500m ahead, at your right-hand side, just across the bridge over the river Dijle. Our building is easily recognizable by the winch in front of it.

By car from Hasselt or Aken (Aix-la-Chapelle/Aachen) via E314/A2. Leave the E314/A2 highway at the exit nr. 15. The rest of the travel is explained above.
